The optical 3D measurement method offers many advantages, such as non-contact and fast measurement, and is increasingly replacing classical and mechanical measurement methods.  In addition, the tactile measurement technique is not only time consuming but also carries a high source of error.  Optical and non-contact measuring processes are performed 10-1000 times faster, and the error rate is relatively low.
